What is AB Manager?

AB Manager is a powerful accreditation management system built specifically for national and state laboratory accrediting bodies (ABs). AB Manager helps simplify and coordinate the complicated accreditation process for an unlimited number of laboratories and multiple users.

For each laboratory, AB Manager tracks accreditation status for requested analytical methods, matrices, and analytes. The software helps track and evaluate proficiency testing (PT) results. PT results for each parameter can be uploaded directly from the PT provider, compared with historical results, and flagged, if necessary, for further action. AB Manager also simplifies on-site assessments by setting due dates and milestones, tracking participants, summarizing methods for review, organizing audit findings & recommendations, and helping to complete assessment reports.

AB Manager’s key features include:

  • Secure, web-based application. AB Manager is available anytime, anywhere using a web-connected desktop, laptop, or tablet.
  • Laboratory Details. Maintain important laboratory information including lead assessor, accreditation dates, addresses, key personnel, notes, etc.
  • Fields of Accreditation (FoA). Develop a “shopping list” of AB-specific FoAs. Easily assign requested FoAs to each laboratory, approve or disapprove each FoA, and generate accreditation certificates based on FoA status.
  • Proficiency Test (PT) Evaluation. Upload and evaluate laboratory PT data for compliance with TNI requirements.
  • Assessment Types and Milestone Tracking. Develop customized assessment types with associated milestones and due dates.
  • Electronic Applications. Easily generate a lab-specific Excel application with laboratory details, key positions, and all available FoAs
  • Accreditation Certificates and Public Parameters. Customized certificates include a certificate plus the attached FoA list. The most recent certificate for each laboratory is automatically posted to a public-facing website.
  • Invoices. Invoices rules are customized for each AB and can be per method, per analyte, special categories, or a combination of these.
  • Configuration Options. Several lists and reports are customizable including lab types, lab positions, assessment types, approvals, milestones, etc.
